We are seeking an entrepreneurially minded Registered Practical Nurse who will be dedicated to the development and maintenance of our beautiful clinic by joining our team as Clinic Nurse.

The Registered Practical Nurse will work collectively with our clinical team to ensure the highest quality of care in the clinic.

You will be expected to work both autonomously, with limited supervision, and interactively with other team members, demonstrating a commitment toward shared goals and a willingness to take initiative.

The Registered Practical Nurse will perform all technical procedures using independent judgment and take initiative in the daily duties as required. The successful candidate is responsible for designated areas or procedures and for upholding the standards of relevant professional organizations. Roles and responsibilities consist of, but not limited to:

  • Assessing patient health: RPNs are responsible for assessing the health status of patients, including vital signs, symptoms, medical history and medication history.
  • Administering medication: RPNs administer medications and injections to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules when ordered by the physician.
  • Monitoring patient progress: RPNs monitor patients’ progress, observing and documenting changes in their health status, and communicating this information to other healthcare team members.
  • Providing patient education: RPNs educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals: RPNs work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as RNs, physicians, technicians, and pharmacists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Maintaining patient records: RPNs maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, Cumulative Patient Profiles (CPPs), and progress notes while always ensuring thorough documentation.
  • Ensuring patient safety: RPNs ensure that patients receive safe and appropriate care by following established protocols and guidelines for infection control, medication administration, and other healthcare practices.
  • The RPN is responsible for educating and administering immunizations and vaccinations, and completing daily vaccine fridge checks while monitoring vaccine inventory.
  • The RPN will maintain the clinic Crash Carts and ensure medications are well stocked and within appropriate usage dates.
  • The RPN will be responsible for facilitating Aviation Medical Examinations and High Altitude Testing (training will be provided).
  • The RPN will be responsible for conducting primary care nursing procedures, including ear syringing, dressing changes, suture/staple removal, phlebotomy, providing basic nursing skills support to physicians and other nursing duties.

Overall, RPNs play a critical role in the healthcare system by providing essential nursing care to patients and supporting the work of other healthcare professionals.


  • Active registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Provincial College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • BLS Certification.
  • 2-5 years experience in a clinical setting, private healthcare preferred.
  • Phlebotomy skills are an asset.
  • Work as a member of a multidisciplinary primary health care time.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professions/disciplines in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
