Dr. Bekeris did his undergraduate study at the Royal Military College of Canada, Kingston, in mechanical engineering. Attended the United States Air Force Test Pilot School, Edwards Air Force Base. Attended Western University, London Ontario, for Medicine, and postgraduate training.
He has 42 years of military service Royal Canadian Air Force, serving in; aerospace engineering, Flight Test Engineering, and general and aviation medicine.
His medical practice includes outpatient general medicine, aviation medicine, emergency medicine, hospitalist, occupational medicine, and travel medicine. Medical consultant in aviation medicine to Transport Canada, Civil Aviation Medicine.
He has also held leadership roles such as Senior Medical Officer Air Force Wing, Canadian Field Hospital, Medical Director Air Canada, and past president of the Airline Medical Directors Association.
